Back To Reality

Published on Tuesday, January 20, 2015

This is my last day of break *cries* and I did nothing all month long beside sleep in the AMs and wake up in the PMs. As much as I dread coming back, I'm quite ecstatic for the new semester. Staying at home doing absolutely nothing makes me feel like my brain cells are rotting away. Also, my biggest goal for this semester is to try to be less of an introvert and a bit more social. Instead of hiding myself in the library after class doing any thing but studying (by that I mean finding a nice cozy area to sleep or watching Korean drama etc etc..), I should be more involved in school activities and clubs. Ha, I say that every year since high school, but it never goes accordingly to plan. Well, I'm a changed woman this year, so it's going to be different (once again, I say that every year).

Spent my last day of break running errands with my mom and sister. When I was younger, I dreaded going to these kinds of trips with my parents. I'd rather stay home and play virtual stylist to Lindsay Lohan on Stardolls.com (omg throwback), but things have changed now that I'm older. I realized that those simple supermarket trips with my mom or school supply shopping with my sister will be what I'll miss most when I move out. In the meantime, I should probably clean out my school bag, because Lord knows what kind of trash I have in there. Winter break, it's been fun. It's back to reality now...

What I'm Wearing:
Eddie Bauer shirt (similar here) Gap jean jacket (similar here) Thrifted hat (similar here) Forever 21 DIY ripped jeans and slip-ons (exact one ON SALE)  or Bettye by Bettye Miller slip-ons (exact one and A LOT more comfortable)

  7. wonderfully styled casual outfit. The baseball cap ,in particular, is a nice touch.

My advice is to take baby steps. Try to join in just one activity and see how you like it...if you don't you can always try something new, but don't overburden yourself right away.

Being an introvert can be quite productive...use that time by yourself to reflect on what is it that you would like to get involved it or just to do something you really enjoy and can feel good about.
