Now that I'm on winter break, it's the perfect time to get back on that reading grind. Besides, what's more ideal than cuddling up in bed with a hot cup of chocolate reading an awesome novel?
Ya can't beat that. Here I'll be sharing my all-time favorite novels!

1. The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls: Read this book many times during high school and I was in awe of Wall's writing and inspiring story about her childhood dealing with tremendous adversity. Definitely a great read during the holidays.

2. Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella: I have mentioned this book before on the blog and I'm not kidding when I said I've read this book at least 20 times over the past years. Sophie Kinsella is definitely my favorite contemporary writer and her wit just shines even more so through this novel about love, friendship, and sass.

3. Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn: Even if you have already watched the movie, I would still recommend the book. It's definitely a toe curling thriller that will leave you at the edge of your seat the entire time. Verdict? I'm never getting married.

4. Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother by Amy Chua: Read this about a few years ago and I loved it. I was never a fan of Amy Tan's 'The Joy Luck Club' kind of books, but this one definitely has a special place in my heart. The novel talks about Chua's life with her two daughters and how she disciplines them the 'tiger mother way'...whatever that means.

5. Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer: Last but definitely not least, a book that I read during my last semester of high school that I'm so glad I did because it easily became one of my favorite read EVER. The book talks about the disastrous 1996 Mount Everest accident and what really went on during that stormy night 29,000 feet up in the air. The horrifying true events will guaranteed send chills down your spine.

I hope you enjoyed this post! If you read these books before, let me know what you think. Also, I would love to know what are some of your favorite reads?

  3. I read Gone Girl recently too (only because I wanted to read it before seeing the movie), but I enjoyed it so much! How you get so attached Amy is so so chilling when you find out what she's really like. And I'm definitely definitely checking out Into Thin Air, my summer break started so I have loads of time like you :)
